It’s tee-time and we couldn’t be more thankful for those who sponsored GSSEM’s signature “FORE! the Girls” golf outing.
The stunning Western Golf and Country Club was the setting for the sold-out golfing event. In addition to a lovely summer day, the event included cigar-rolling demonstrations and bourbon/whiskey sampling.
Top players include the Co-Ed team from ITC Holdings Team C David Widner, Kyle Parzuchowski, Sarah Gagnon, Ryan Martin, with a score of 62; first place for women’s: UL Solutions’ team of Angela Williams, Afia Phillips, Andrea Young, Kenyetta Jones with a score of 63; and Team Burns men’s first place players Corey Burns, Mike Burns, Nick Dahlstrom, Josh Pad at 57.
Girl Scouts Benefit
It is GSSEM Girl Scouts who are the real winners.
The record number of players this year helped raise nearly $25, 000 for incredible programs and opportunities for Girl Scouts in the communities we serve.
This includes an incredible, life-enhancing opportunity for some Girl Scouts! GSSEM was selected as one of only four Girl Scouts Councils in the U.S., to send girls to the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women hosted by the United Nations.
Donations from the Golf Classic will help offset the travel and accommodation expenses of the selected Girl Scouts, their chaperones, and GSSEM representation.
