Rhonda Schimetz is no stranger to Girl Scouts. Juggling multiple hats as troop leader, troop product program manager, and troop treasurer, she has demonstrated that she is an amazing role model for all girls to look up to. Troop 77086 is especially lucky to have her!
Rhonda says she began her journey as a troop leader so that she could bring young girls together. She envisioned girls forming lasting relationships, while working towards common goals for themselves and the betterment of their communities. She’s been able to see this through over time as she’s watched the girls in her troop transform into leaders, grow in their personal development, and witness their excitement as they learn new things and help others.
What’s next for this volunteer? For now, it’s continuing to help lead her troop in the direction of their goals and having a blast every summer at camp!
Need advice from a vet? Rhonda has this to say:
“Volunteering is rewarding! It is amazing to witness the individual strengths and talents of each girl as they work together to encourage one another.”
Thank you, Rhonda!
