Nga Nguyen wears several hats when it comes to Girl Scout volunteering: she’s a troop leader/co-leader, troop product program manager, and troop support volunteer. Troop 77833 and the entire GSSEM community is lucky to have someone so willing to go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a positive Girl Scout experience. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
Nga started the 2022 Membership Year in the troop family and friends role for her troop, and quickly stepped up to further support the other leaders. When cookie season was underway, Nga cleared out her garage, and provided space for the troop’s cookies. She even recruited her entire family to take inventory, control inventory, and build a cookie spread sheet!
Nga says she loves being involved with her troop, especially during the cookie season, because she gets to spend quality time them and watch as they achieve their goals. Her troop is currently planning to use their earnings to go towards a trip!
For anyone out there needing advice, Nga has this to say:
“Even when you think you haven’t been doing enough for the girls, just keep trying your best to support the troop. I might not always be good at leading the meetings, so I help out by assisting other leaders. I might not be the best at planning ahead for cookie season, so I choose to help by storing, managing, and volunteering at cookie booths. There’s always something you could do to take a role and help out. These girls look up to us.”
Thank you, Nga!
