Project: Caregiver Resource Binder
Families with autistic children need all the support they can get, and have it presented in an easy to access manner.
“The resources I saw were scattered and unorganized,” she said. “Families struggled to find a place to turn to when they needed help.”
Her solution was to develop a comprehensive caregiver resource binder with information on therapies, school support, and other helpful programs.
Binders that Help
Working with local organizations, Trinity’s binder is a collection of resources for families to provide step-by-step guidance for families navigating treatments and care of autism.
Binder items include support organization listings, therapy services, school, and community support programs and more.
In addition to physical binders that are easily updated, Trinity created a digital version and hosted a learning session for participants.
“I hope this binder lets families with children with autism feel a bit more supported,” she said. “Now they don’t have to go all over the place to find this kind of information.”
