A Year‑End Gift With Year‑Round Impact

Help Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan make an impact on the lives of nearly 20,000 young women in our region next year with an end-of-year donation today.

Girl Scouting is more than cookies, camping and s’mores. Our innovative and girl-led programming offers girls the chance to grow and go as individuals and as leaders in their communities, schools, and careers.

Young women like Athena, who had been involved with Girl Scouts for 14 years. She earned the prestigious Girl Scout Gold Award by creating a club for people with learning disabilities to connect with and share experiences.

Athena serves on the Girl Advisory Board (GAB), helping design patches and learning leadership skills. Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) connected her with mentors from the Michigan Women’s Commission, who have guided her and many others in building confidence and life skills.

During an Advocacy & Leadership Day, Athena served as a GAB spokesperson interviewing younger girls about their excitement for Girl Scouts.

“Girl Scouts supported me through COVID and during my dad’s cancer journey and kidney transplant. Thank you to Girl Scouts for helping me become a strong, independent woman and for always being a shoulder to lean on.”

Athena’s story is one of thousands made possible by GSSEM—girls who are solving problems, leading with compassion, and shaping a brighter future for all of us.

A year-end gift helps girls like Athena find their voice, strengthen their confidence, and become the leaders our communities need. Please make your donation to GSSEM today and invest in the future of Southeastern Michigan—one girl at a time.

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
