The big moment is here … graduation!
Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan wish all the best to our Girl Scouts graduating this year.
“These Girl Scouts, some of whom have been a member since Kindergarten, are graduating with more than a high school degree,” says Moncia Woodson, CEO, GSSEM. “They are charging forward with experiences that helped them become young women of confidence, character and courage ready to make an even greater impact in their communities and the world.”
Your numerous accomplishments
- 91 Girl Scouts earned a Silver Award
- 30 Girl Scouts earned a Gold Award
- 21 Girl Scouts earned the Precious Medals Award, which is given to Girl Scouts who earned their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards
- 17 Girl Scouts were members of a Mackinac Island Scout Service Program troop
- 8 Girl Scouts in Girl Scouting for 13 years; 66 were for 12 years, 33 were members for 11 years, 25 were members for 10 years
- 74 % of the girls were members for between 10 and 13 years.
“The world we live in needs exactly the qualities you’ve been building in Girl Scouts; curiosity, integrity, teamwork, and the confidence to lead with purpose,” said Woodson.
