At a Volunteer National Awards celebration, you can feel the positive energy flowing as old friends gather and new attendees are welcome.

It is GSSEM’s opportunity to recognize and say thank you for the dedication, service and commitment these individuals give freely to enrich our programs and initiatives and make Girl Scouting better and stronger every day.

Volunteers are vital

Partners and volunteers are essential to helping girls become the leaders of tomorrow. This year, GSSEM recognizes:

• 66 volunteers who have earned Volunteer National Awards for supporting daily operations to mentoring girls and fellow volunteers alike
• 51 community and business partners receiving the Friend of Girl Scouting Award for their meaningful support to deliver inclusive, innovative programming
• 2 adults who are being recognized for earning Girl Scout religious honors
• Multiple administrative volunteers who champion local Girl Scouting

Volunteers are the foundation of our movement and the driving force behind helping Girl Scouts grow into leaders of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

• Encouraging Girl Scouts to explore faith and values in meaningful and inclusive ways
• Coaching Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award Girls Scouts
