Do you have a passion for making a difference and meeting new people? Are you a Girl Scout ready to take your part as a global citizen?
GSSEM is taking applications from interested Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts to represent GSUSA at the Girl Scout Global Citizens Summit, July 20-22 in Washington D.C. This leadership and networking opportunity culminates with participating Girl Scouts becoming Global Girl Scout Ambassadors.
Why apply?
During the summit selected GSSEM Girl Scouts will:
- Interact with other Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from around the world.
- Meet with mentors, facilitators, and speakers from three best-in-class organizations: Vital Voices, the Council on Foreign Relations, and United Nations Association of the United States of America.
- Engage in detail discussions on current global events.
- Build up leadership and global citizenship skills.
- Participate in workshops and networking events.
After the summit, the new Ambassadors will celebrate how Girls Make History at the Girl Scout UNITE event, July 23-25, helping facilitate activities in workshops, networking sessions and at the Hall of Experiences!

While not a sightseeing tour, GSSEM has worked in some time to tour parts of Washington D.C., before the start of the summit.
After returning to Michigan, delegates will share their experience through an amplification project designed to inspire other GSSEM Girl Scouts.
